When visiting Kansas we started in the Northwest corner and went around the state clockwise. Our last stop was in Liberal Kansas where we visited the Mid-America Air Museum, one of the largest in the US. It is housed in the old Beechcraft Assembly plant. They have military, commercial and home built aircraft on display.

We also went to the Dorothy’s House and the Land of OZ. A young girl dressed as Dorothy takes you through the recreation of Dorothy’s house and then into the Land of OZ. In the Land of OZ there are scenes from the movie and Dorothy re-enacts them for you. It was so dang cute listening to a Hispanic Dorothy re-enacting the scenes with her accent. For a young girl to have to remember all of it and repeat it to a group was a great way for her to get better at English, that’s for sure. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw a file cabinet and the bottom drawer is labeled O-Z and that’s where the author, L. Frank Baum, got the name OZ
