Apacheland Movie Ranch, often referred to as "Apacheland," was
a famous Western-themed movie set located in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Established in 1959, it served as a filming location for numerous classic
Western films and television shows, including "Charro!" starring Elvis Presley
and episodes of "Have Gun – Will Travel" and "Bonanza." |

Designed to replicate an Old West town, Apacheland featured
saloons, jailhouses, barns, and a chapel, making it a favorite among
filmmakers and tourists alike. Despite suffering two devastating fires—one
in 1969 and another in 2004—some structures, like the Elvis Chapel and the
barn, were preserved and relocated to the nearby Superstition Mountain
Museum. Today, Apacheland’s legacy lives on as a tribute to the golden age
of Western filmmaking. |
