Founded in 1864 as a frontier outpost, Prescott's heart beats with the rhythm of the past. Whiskey Row, a row of historic saloons now filled with art galleries and cafes, still holds the ghosts of poker games and gunfights. The Hassayampa Inn, its Victorian elegance perched on a bluff overlooking the valley, was once a haven for weary travelers and today whispers stories of silver strikes and starlit dances. We have been going to Prescott since the mid 90s when my Aunt moved there. It is one of our favorite towns in the US.

Prescott is more than just a dusty relic of the Wild West. It's a playground for nature lovers, a canvas painted with vibrant hues. Granite Dells, a maze of colossal boulders sculpted by time and wind, offers hiking trails that meander through hidden grottos and ancient petroglyphs. We stayed at a wonderfully pretty campground nestled in among the Granite Dells.
