Sunbeam Lake RV Resort in El Centro, California. It is a popular RV resort located on the shores of Sunbeam Lake. The resort offers a variety of amenities, including full-hookup RV sites, a swimming pool, a spa, a clubhouse, and planned activities. Planned activities range from Bingo, Dances, water aerobics to pot luck meals. It is popular in the winter with snowbirds from colder areas. It is also a great place to watch the Blue Angels practice. |

I booked a stay there because I wanted to watch the Blue Angels practice. The Blue Angels are the Navy's flight demonstration squadron. They are known for their precision flying and their distinctive blue and gold jets. They practiced most days and when they did I would hear them start every morning at 8:06 AM exactly. It was fun to watch them. They practice every year at El Centro from January to the second week of March. |
