The reason for our stop in Seligman was to check on the status of our jewelry at the RoadRunner gift shop and drop off some pieces. Of course while we were there we had to take a stroll over by Delgadillo's  Snow Cap drive in. Our first stop here was in the 90's when it was run by Juan and we spent an evening sitting and chatting with him hearing stories about Route 66. Juan was known as the clown prince of Route 66 and he made sure you had an enjoyable time when you stopped. Juan passed away in 2004 but his daughter Cecelia and son John run it in the same style Juan did.  Juan and his brother Angel are credited with the revival of Route 66 by getting it changed to the designation Historic Route 66.

The picture in the lower right is of our rented motor home we used for this trip. We have always felt the RoadRunner gift shop was a cut above most other Route 66 gift shops with the merchandise they carry and they have been selling Karen's jewelry since about 2010. You can see a video of Seligman at this link. The video includes some old footage of Karen riding in Juan's Christmas tree car from 1998.
