click photo to enlarge		 I have been talking about going to New Orleans for many years now and we finally made it. Bourbon Street was an experience for sure but I was a bit surprised that I did not hear jazz coming out of all of the bars, instead if was rock music. You are also allowed to walk the street with a drink in you hand as long as it is not in a glass container and for sure there were a lot of drunk people out and about at night carrying drinks. We weren't one of them though.

click photo to enlarge		 We had a tour of the French Quarter and on our last night we ate at the New Orleans school of cooking while watching a cooking demonstration. We rode the street cars up into the exclusive neighborhoods, went through the WWII museum and ate a lot of good food. The picture below of the river is the Mississippi river and it was very high.
