SeaBee's are the United States Naval Construction Battalions. Naval Construction Battalions were conceived of as a replacement for civilian construction companies working for the US Navy after the United States was drawn into World War II with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. They were skilled workers who were also trained to drop their tools and fight if needed. SeaBee's have the moto Can Do, they believe that anything they are tasked with they can do. The museum is just outside the Naval base in Port Hueneme, CA.

From the web site it says "The Naval Construction Force builds and maintains the United States naval shore establishments around the globe and supports amphibious operations of the Navy’s expeditionary force. Seabees also perform global humanitarian missions such as well-drilling and disaster relief." It was an interesting museum, kind of small but hey.. what do you want for free.
