Prescott Valley Balloon Fest

click photo to enlarge		 We happened to be in the Prescott area in 2014 the weekend they had their Balloon Fest and it was really pretty nice. We decided to go this year and when we got to the launch site Saturday morning there was only 3 balloons. It seems they were not able to get enough sponsors so they canceled the event a few weeks earlier. The event is put on by the Prescott Valley Rotary and they did not have enough common sense to put on the web site the event was canceled and in fact today if you look it still doesn't say anything about it. I guess that is what you get in these small towns.

click photo to enlarge		 The three balloonists that were there just decided to come and launch anyway so at least we got to see three of them lift off. I even helped them on one balloon get it inflated. In the lower left Karen is giving them an assist lifting the balloon up. Needless to say we will sure think twice before we ever go for their Balloon Fest again. We love the area so we fond things to do.
