The Wildlife Learning Center rescues wildlife and educates the public about the environment. It is located in Sylmar Ca. A friend of ours we met when we first moved to CA, Andrea, used to volunteer here. It took a Groupon deal of half price to finally get me to make the trek out here to see it. They have approximately 50 different species of animals from around the world.

Admission is only $6 for seniors like me. <grin> Getting older does have some advantages right?  They have trainer talks every 30 minutes where you can learn something about the different animals. They also do plenty of special experience tours for a fee to meet different animals. It all goes for a good cause.  One of their main objectives is to identify and receive animals in need to provide lifetime sanctuary and care. The Nethercutt Collection is also only a few miles away. The place is not that large so I wanted to have something else to go see too.
