We were still on the Hop on Hop off bus tour of downtown Los Angeles. We have stopped in downtown to see things like the Disney Concert Hall and the old Neon Museum when it was in LA or the Grammy Museum but this gave us a chance to see and learn a lot of other things we had not been to or seen in a number of years. If I see a groupon deal for this again I will probably buy it. Hey I wonder if they have a trademark on this building like they do on the Rock Hall in Cleveland.

We had never been in Union Station before. It is one of those place I still have no my list but just never got around to it. It is really a beautiful building inside and out. This was a Sunday in January and there was a lot going on in the public areas in LA. Concerts in one area, native Mexican dancing in another. One of these days I plan to take the Metro Gold Line from Pasadena to Union Station and get off at some of the stops to explore.

Of course Olivera Street and the pedestrian mall market place were busy with lots of people. There are a few historic buildings like the Avila Adobe from 1818 and the Sepoulveda House 1887. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and even strolling musicians.
