Prescott Valley Rotary BalloonFest

This was the 4th annual Balloon Festival in Prescott Valley. It was a stunning morning for pictures of the balloons. While there were not many balloons compared to something like the Albuquerque festival this was just so easy. We parked within a minutes walk of the festival grounds and there was not huge long traffic gridlock. In Albuquerque you had to get up at like 4 am, go to the meeting place for buses to ride a bus into the festival grounds.

On Saturday night we went to the balloon glow, but just like in Albuquerque it was to windy for them to do it. There was only about 20 balloons.

They use huge fans to blow air into the balloon and then when the balloon is nearing being full they use a propane burner to hest the air and this is what causes the balloon to rise. In past years this balloon festival was tied to the Prescott Valley Days festival and this year it was it's own event. There were not many sponsors or vendors. I hope they get enough to hold this in 2015 because I would like to go again.
