We visited CA in 1999 when we lived in Ohio and stopped in Randsburg. There have been some changes since than but not a lot. One of the biggest changes is more things are fenced off.

It was a very pretty day and as always there are many things to just wander about taking pictures of. Randsburg was started as a gold town in 1895. Today it is what is called a living ghost town. There is still gold mining going on in the area. There are also plenty of ruins of old mine head frames. Karen said the door on the building to left has a mail slot.

Randsburg today gets a number of off roaders in the spring and fall. There are miles of places to drive / ride off road toys. There are a number of antique shops on main street that are open when the owners feel like it <grin> and a General Store with an old fashioned soda fountain.
