New Kitchen Counters

Well.... wifey does not like me to post pictures of us or the house or
anything private on a public forum. But, since she is back in Ohio maybe I can
get away with this. <grin>. Notice the wall paper in the picture to the
left. Because I was getting new counters she wanted the wall paper down and
the kitchen repainted. |

I am posting a before, during and after photo from about the same angle.
When we first came out to CA and were looking at homes a number of them had
the tile counters. I never liked them and felt they looked cheap even though
I was told they were actually an upgrade. Karen had gotten to the point
where they didn't bother her anymore. Guess she liked having to bleach the
grout to get it clean all the time. Maybe it gave her something to do..? |

The young man who did the actual granite work did the fabrication work on site. He really
did a very nice job and I was surprised at how manual a process it is. The
bottom two pictures may look the same but the one on the left still has
the wall paper up. Karen wanted it down and the kitchen repainted. Now,
maybe she won't notice I posted this. <grin> |
