Yucaipa Iris Festival

The Yucaipa Iris Festival is another one of those events I put on our calendar
every year and something else comes along and we never make it. The Iris Festival is of course a
flower show but it is also a Gem and Mineral Show and a car show. Of course if
we go to a gem and mineral show that means buying jewelry right. Karen says she
who dies with the most jewelry wins and I guess she wants to be a winner. |

The car show had an eclectric collection of cars. I mean what Southern
California event would be complete without a car show. The Corvair was
certainly not stock and had a V8 engine stuffed in the back. |

The Iris Festival had more than 80 outside vendors filling the craft and
food area. They also had entertainment going all weekend at an
amphitheater. It made for an entertaining way to kill a few hours
and of course buy some jewlery. |
