Hermosa Beach

While our daughter and partner were in town we took them down to Hermosa Beach and then drove the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It was a weekday and the beach was not very crowded. Oh, and for Karen and I it was COLD. We sat on the pier under a blanket snuggling trying to stay warm. Of all the beach communities I have always liked Hermosa. It is so easy and accessible and parking is very reasonable.

This young lady took her clothes off down to her bathing suit and proceeded to go down and jump in the water. The water was about 62 degrees and the air temperature was only about 68. Holy Moly... way too cold for me that's for sure. AND she went down and jumped in more then once. Brrrrrrr

Ginger and her partner wandered the town, shopping. Then walked along the beach collecting shells to take home. When they were done we drove along the Palos Verdes Peninsula and down to the Point Fermin Lighthouse. The drive is always quite beautiful and we stopped at the Wayfarer's Chapel and the Friendship Bell.
