It was going to be a hot one at the house in the mid to upper 90's so we
headed for the mountains. We had heard that this road was recently graded. We
had driven it last year and it was pretty rugged in spots. |

This looked as good as any place to have a picnic. This road follows a ridge
between Lone Pine Canyon and Lytle Creek. |

The views were spectacular even if it wasn't any cooler in the mountains
then in the valley. The rocky road below is in Stockton flats. |
