Our sister museum, the California Route 66 Museum,  in Victorville has their annual car show in November so we went this year. It was a beautiful late fall day in southern California with sunshine and temperatures in the low 80s. I preferred the late 60's chargers looks over this 1973 Charger but this paint was pretty incredible.

This yellow car is a 32 Ford 3 window coupe. It was built for a James Dean movie. The sign says the top speed is faster then California law allows. Heh, wonder if they have been on the I15 Speedway lately... I just love all the car shows out here. We don't go that often but have sure been to some nice ones and this one had a great collection of vehicles.

As I was picking pictures to post on this page it struck me that every car I saw was American. Now there may have been a few at the show that were not but I didn't seem to have any pictures of them. Kind of ironic that as I am typing this just yesterday George Bush announced a bailout program for the US automakers. I sure hope they can make a go of it and become competitive again. What a storied history.
