The Springs Preserve were built on the site of a spring and where the native Americans to the area lived near Las Vegas thousands of years ago. It is only minutes from the strip and was built by the Las Vegas Valley Water District to teach of Las Vegas's past and get people to think of the future. It is meant to educate about water usage.

There are different buildings that cover different topics such as the Origen Experince (ORIginal GENerations) where they cover the past peoples living in the area. The Desert Living Center where they teach ways to protect desert resources and  the Nevada Sate Museum. Outside there are 8 acres of garden and almost 2 miles of trails.
