Aspen Grove

These pictures are taken in an Aspen Grove in the San Bernardino Mountains. But shhhh many locals don't even know this grove exists. When I asked a friend who lives in the mountains he said there are no Aspen groves this far south. You can pick up a map to the Aspen Grove at the Mill Creek Ranger station. This is one hike where I don't recommend using  localhikes.com as the information was not correct. In case anybody wonders why I would spoil pictures by putting my name on them I have had pictures stolen and used to make money. After threatening a cease and desist they paid me for my image. Had they asked I probably would have given to them.

Karen always says she misses the seasons so I decided this year we would see some of the leaves changing color. We usually do anyway but this time we went hiking a few times to enjoy it. This turned out to be a very short hike down to the grove but we went further. The best time to go is mid October.

The drive in was about 2 miles on a fun dirt road. We kept climbing up and up. I was just getting ready to turn around thinking I had gone the wrong way and the trailhead appeared. As I write this I have my truck up for sale and somebody is supposed to come look at it tomorrow. The next one will be 4X4. Yeee Haahhhh
