Since we volunteer at the Mt. Baldy Visitors center we like to get out and explore the area so when asked questions we can answer them. A few months back someone had stopped in and while talking mentioned they had just been to Jacob's grave. Since we had never heard of it we set out to find it. There are many stories about the grave and most state for different reasons that the grave was moved and that is why it is haunted.

Jacob was a miner  searching for gold in the San Antonio canyon and met his untimely death. I hope those who come to this area and tag and litter it are haunted by Jacob.

It was also a fun day for driving the Miata so I took a few pictures. We also stopped to visit the Mt. Baldy Trout ponds. It is about 1/4 mile from the visitors center. The pools are very heavily stocked and within seconds of dropping your line in you will have a fish taking your bait. I watched a young girl that didn't realize how to set the hook try many times to catch a fish. Every time she dropped her line in the fish would clean her hook of the bait. A lot of fun for the youngsters and they also clean and fillet your fish for you and pack it in ice.
