Pomona Valley Air Fair

The Air Fair at Cable Airport is a nice size air show. The first time we went a couple years ago it was $3 to get in. They have raised the price to $5 now but it is still a bargain. It is in early January. Sorry for all you folks back home but yes everybody is wearing short sleeve shirts in January. The only snow is seen way in the background at the very top of the mountain.

While it is an air show they always have some cars drive through and we try to get there for that. The airport is about 5 miles or so from our house. We occasionally like to go their for breakfast and sit outside looking at the mountains.

Sometimes we will get an ice cream at a nearby McDonalds and go sit at the end of the runway and watch the planes land.

I can't tell you anything about the planes because I don't know anything about them. We just go to watch the show.

This is a close up of the pilot from the plane in the photo above. The smaller peaks closest in the picture that are light brown are some of the ones burned this past year in the Grand Prix fire. The mountains behind them that still have trees and shrub are a darker color.
