Breakfast with the Basset's

Well, this was a first for us. We went with friends to a restaurant that has a menu for dogs. AND the food is not typical doggie food but things like chicken breasts, hot dogs. Things many dogs would love. The restaurant, Park Bench Cafe in Huntington Beach, is adjacent to a large park. The food on the menu for humans was pretty tasty too.

Our friends are active in a group called the Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California. The organization has Breakfast with the Basset's the first Saturday of every month. This month was special because Stanta Claws was there and your basset could have his picture taken with Stanta. Santa's real name was Stan.

Here the basset is telling Santa, no wait I can explain. Look at that face...

The BHRSC organization takes in homeless and neglected basset hounds, has them spayed or neutered, and provides appropriate veterinary care and vaccinations. For more information click any of the links on this page.

We were told we would have a howling good time and we did.
