Disneyland, Christmas Day 2002

Probably one of the most photographed places in the US. Just
as you come though the gates at Disneyland is his picture. In the
background is the train station at the start of Main Street USA. We were
given conflicting information about Disney and Christmas. On one hand we
were told last year it wasn't crowded but another friend who had worked at
Disney for a long time said it got crowded every year on Christmas. Well
the crowded side won out. Disneyland is very small size wise compared to
amusement parks back home like Cedar
Point. Cedar Point bills itself as the largest amusement park in the
world. I suspect it wasn't busy last year because of September 11. |
 |
This is probably one of the next most popular photographs in the USA,
Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Of course I couldn't just take a straight on photo,
after all, everybody does that.
|
 |
This is the Mark Twain with a full complement of people. We
had a good time and the weather was nice for doing this. It was probably
about 60 and sunny. |
 |
This is Thunder Mountain Railroad. The roller coaster looks like a train. The
line was too long and we never got on it but it looked cool.

 |
Just to give you an idea of the number of people I took this
photo. We had a nice time but were only able to get on 3 rides all day.
Lines for things like Space Mountain were 2 hours. Using Disney's fast
pass helped because the rides we did get on we used that. But, you can
only get one fast pass at a time. We'll have to go back again on a day
when it is empty. |
